Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

I came across channel Darryl Anka on social media. He made a prediction about the election that now feels accurate and terrifying. He’s since updated that prediction with a more hopeful interpretation; I'm guessing that's at least partly due to his belief that we create our reality so we need all the positivity we can muster right now. I included both vids below.
Before starting CE5 meditation, I used to ask visitors to envision themselves as a Time Machine. I actually went there. I remember sitting at the Mono Lake hot springs on a field trip, looking up into the night sky and wondering about the person I was back then. I didn't have the knowledge and experience I have now, so I felt disconnected from my present self and the problems I face today. In the past, I had problems, too, and I overcame them. I'm confident that I will overcome my current problems as well. I am learning to navigate these challenges better by becoming more self-aware of life and reality.
When the Make-A-Wish foundation in San Francisco endeavored to grant the wish of a 5-year-old leukemia patient, thousands of people from all over the US wanted to help. Miles Scott wanted to be a superhero, and Batman was his favorite. Batkid Begins chronicles the day his wish came true.
The Gospel of Thomas, often classified as a Gnostic text, does not directly serve as a polemic against religion in general, but it does present a distinctive approach to spiritual teachings that contrasts with mainstream Christian doctrines. Here are some aspects of its content and themes that suggest a different perspective on religious practice and belief:
The Gayatri Mantra is an ancient and powerful Sanskrit mantra from the Rig Veda, dating back 2500 to 3500 years12. It is considered one of the most sacred and significant mantras in Hinduism, often referred to as a universal prayer5.
The two most significant days in a person's life are the day they are born and the day they uncover the true purpose of their existence. The birthday marks the beginning of one's journey in the world, a significant event that signifies the start of personal history and potential. The day one discovers their purpose, however, transforms their existence, giving direction and meaning to all their actions and decisions. It's a profound realization that aligns their ambitions, shapes their choices, and influences how they contribute to the world, making it as pivotal as the day of their birth.
The Apple of Discord is a famous myth from Greek mythology that symbolizes how a small provocation can lead to significant conflict. At the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, Eris, the goddess of strife, was not invited. In retaliation, she threw a golden apple inscribed with the words "To the Fairest" among the guests124.
When Mars exits retrograde and goes direct, it often brings a shift in energy and dynamics that affects many areas of life, particularly those governed by Mars such as ambition, drive, aggression, and conflict resolution. Here's what typically happens astrologically when Mars goes direct:
The spiritual journey often feels like you're meant to be a lone mystic hermit, meditating cross-legged in a hidden cave. Yet, the more we meditate and go inward, the more we feel the urge to chat with someone about it over coffee. Conversely, after being with others for an extended time, we all reach a point where we want to be left alone. The contrast can be startling and disturbing.
Hermann Hesse's novels explore several profound themes that resonate deeply with readers:
I heard the premise of this podcast and immediately went into skeptic mode. But I was driving on the windy, steep road out of Anza-Borrego Desert and my tech-challenged, height-fearing old self could not easily change the podcast. As I listened I became intrigued.
Creativity is at the heart of spirituality. Most artists sense that their inspiration comes from within and beyond themselves. And they are right for spirituality to be both within and beyond.
"What benefits the body also benefits the brain."
Reincarnation... Did you know that in many writings in the Bible, the author and readers assume reincarnation?
A spirit animal is a spiritual concept rooted in indigenous traditions where an animal serves as a mystical guide or protector in a person's life journey. In shamanic beliefs, this animal is thought to share similar characteristics with the individual and provides guidance, protection, and wisdom.
Mien (face) Shiang (reading) is a Taoist practice that is 3,000 years old. Using principles of 5-Element (wood, fire, earth, water, metal) theory, practitioners look at facial features to assess a person’s personality and health. I found the idea hard to believe, but watching someone do it was fascinating. Patrician McCarthy, a long-time practitioner and teacher, founded the Mien Shiang Institute and wrote a book called, the Face Reader. In the book she explores topics such as the history of Mien Shiang, inherited vs. acquired facial characteristics, the left vs. the right sides of the face, and qi, yin, and yang. Some of the features she checks when she's doing a diagnosis are ear size and shape, skin color, hairline, and width between the eyes.
Automatic writing is a fun way to try to connect with your intuition. The basic idea is to ground yourself, quiet your mind, and then let the words flow without trying to anticipate or make sense of them. You can use a journal or a computer, whichever you prefer. Some people like to light a candle to set the ambiance. Setting a timer may help free your mind; you know you’re done when the timer goes off instead of trying to discern when you’ve gotten an answer.

In 2004, young reporter Dan Harris was given the opportunity to fill in for Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. And then live, on-air, he had a panic attack in front of millions of people. This was the catalyst that sent him on a search to address his mental health. He started therapy.
Laurence Gonzales is a bestselling author and an editor for National Geographic Adventure magazine. His father was a fighter pilot in World War II and was the sole survivor when the B-17 he was flying was shot down in Germany. Hearing his father’s harrowing story sparked a fascination in young Laurence: the mysteries of survival—who lives, who dies, and why. In his book, Deep Survival, he examines perilous situations, the sometimes inexplicable decisions people made that contributed to their deaths, and what he sees as the common traits of the survivors.
The Sailboat metaphor is a way to look at your life to clarify how things are going. It’s a tool articulated by a psychologist named Hugo Alberts and can be found in more detail at positivespychology.com
